Rim Road
I drove along a rim northwest of Roundup.
Then I drove off the rim on this manky road.
Next morning: Common Nighthawks.
Willson’s Phalaropes blow tiny horns.
A muskrat and Blue-winged Teal.
After the survey, I drove back up to the rim road and farther west (away from the highway).
Horned Larks and Grasshopper Sparrows were perched along the fence. The car acted like a blind; I rolled down the window and got close.
Grasshopper Sparrows are ~ 5 inches long
