Bird camp is over. A few are peeling off to start surveys in Montana, and the rest of us are heading down to Craters of the Moon in Idaho for two more days of briefing.

I met this guy at the tiny convenience store on the way out of town. When I told him what we're doing, he started talking about all the birds on his property. He's a good birder.
